Jeff’s practice is focused on private equity-backed enterprise software and tech-enabled services providers, as well as Health IT companies, at which he places board directors, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and other direct reports to the CEO who head critical functions.
Jeff has fifteen years of experience as a search practitioner. Before he joined The Lancer Group, Jeff held leadership positions at Lancor, Cook Associates and CTPartners (formerly Christian & Timbers). Prior to his career in executive search, Jeff was a Partner at a Boston-based venture capital firm where he worked on sourcing and investing in early-stage tech and consumer internet deals. Early on, Jeff worked at Microsoft, where he helped launch Microsoft’s widely-used database product, Access.
Jeff completed his master’s degree in business administration at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany. His long-time interest in human capital issues stems from a study he led during his second year at Michigan, which focused on how corporate culture serves as a growth engine in Fortune 1000 companies.
