SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – The Lancer Group places Ashok Nair as Head of Information Analytics at QBE Insurance (ASX: QBE; LTM Rev: $17.3B AUD), one of the world’s top 20insurance and reinsurance companies with operations in 43 countries. QBE is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and is headquartered in Sydney.
In this new role, Ashok will lead a newly formed team across the ANZO* group to create world class analytics, data governance and reporting capabilities – this key role will help change the way QBE operates through the insights discovered through data. He brings to QBE over 20 years of experience managing complex technology environments across multiple industries.
Most recently, Ashok served as Director of Advanced Analytics at EYC3, Ernst & Young’sdata and advanced analytics arm serving the Asia Pacific region, where he was responsible for implementing big data technology, advanced analytics, and data science to drive customer experience, digital marketing, and improve business performance and agility.
Prior to EYC3, Ashok served as Strategy and Governance Leader at Capiotech (ASG Group), an Australian-based consulting company specializing in corporate analytical solutions.
