The Lancer Group places Nick Eshkenazi as Chief Digital Technology Officer at WooliesX, the digital arm of Woolworths (ASX: WOW; LTM Rev: $56.7B AUD), leading Australian retailer

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – The Lancer Group places Nick Eshkenazi as Chief Digital Technology Officer of WooliesX, the digital arm of Woolworths that combines thecompany’s digital, e-Commerce, data, and customer functions under a single division. WooliesX will allow Woolworths to maximize the combined wealth of insights and technical expertise currently in the group as the retailer looks to accelerate the growth from digital over the coming years.

Nick is an industry veteran in the technology space and brings to WooliesX over 20 years of experience driving complex and innovative business and technology initiatives across the retail, wholesale, e-Commerce, automotive and financial services space. In this newly created role, Nick will be responsible for leading theretailer’s digital technology strategy, creating the company’s architecture visionwhile continuing to build Woolworth’s digital and data technology capability to accelerate the company’s retail leadership into the future.

Most recently, Nick was a member of the technology executive team and served as the Director of Strategy and Enterprise Platforms at Costco Wholesale (NASDAQ: COST; LTM Rev: $139B), global retailer with warehouse club operations across 11countries, where he was responsible for driving the retailer’s technology strategyand enterprise platforms ownership and execution. During his time, Costco established same-day delivery for its members, significantly grew online sales and simplified its business technology strategy.

Prior to Costco, Nick served as the Chief Information Officer of several large U.S. corporations including Fanatics and SanMar where he was accountable for the end- to-end digital technology strategy and transformations.

Earlier in his career, Nick was Head of Global Technology at PACCAR, the largest manufacturer of medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in the world, where he was a part of the creation of an online revenue generating platform to monitortrucks’ performance and sell parts and services; the establishment of a GlobalInnovation Program, and the effort towards the creation of the India Engineering & Technology Centre.

Prior to that he was the CTO, Enterprise Solutions at USAA, where he was accountable for the enterprise technology solutions strategy and company – wide innovation program, which produced countless transformational and patented capabilities still used today.

He holds an MS in Computer Science from the Technical University of Sofia.
