The Lancer Group places Zach Wood as Vice President of New Market Development at Surescripts, provider of the nation’s most robusthealth information network

ARLINGTON, VA – The Lancer Group places Zach Wood as Vice President of New Market Development of Surescripts, leading provider of the nation’s most trustedand capable health information network designed to increase patient safety, lower costs and ensure quality care. Surescripts is privately owned by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), CVS Health and Express Scripts.

Zach brings to Surescripts over 10 years of experience in the healthcare information technology and services industry. In this newly created role, Zach will be at the forefront of defining and executing Surescripts’ consumer strategy to perfect actionable patient intelligence across the care continuum. He will be responsible addressing the trend of healthcare consumerism that is facing the market today.

Most recently, Zach served as Senior Director of Corporate Development of Cerner (NASDAQ: CERN; LTM Rev: $5.1B), leading provider of healthcare information technology solutions that optimize clinical and financial outcomes, where he servedas General Manager for the company’s early-stage population health business and was responsible for M&A, partnerships, and investment opportunities. Zach joined Cerner in 2013 as Senior Business Strategist and was subsequently rotated into roles of increasing responsibility and scope. Prior to Cerner, Zach was Advisor and Co-Founder of Qualia Health, a platform that enables both patients and provider to track and manage health.

He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Finance & Strategy from Chicago Booth and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Economics from the Wisconsin School of Business.
