The Lancer Group places Jim Soss as Chief Executive Officer of Fishbowl, a Symphony Technology Group company and leading provider of restaurant marketing & analytics

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Lancer Group places Jim Soss as Chief Executive Officer of Fishbowl, the leading customer engagement platform for the restaurant industry that empowers restaurants to become best-in-class marketers by providing deep insights to execute data- driven decisions that drives brand preference and amplifies guest sales and visits.

Jim brings to Fishbowl over 20 years of extensive experience in digital marketing, analytics and advertising across the data and cloud-based solutions space. In this new role, he will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the company and driving the growth into new verticals and markets.

Most recently, Jim served as Executive Vice President & General Manager of YuMe (NYSE: YUME; LTM Rev: $157M), a provider of digital video brand advertising, where he led the North American business and successfully drove sales, customer success, client analytics, business development, partnerships, and delivery operations.

Previously, Jim served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Responsys, the marketing SaaS and services company that was acquired by Oracle in 2014 for $1.5B – post acquisition, Jim was promoted to Group Vice President within Oracle Marketing Cloud and was responsible for the oversight of the entire business including Responsys, Eloqua and BlueKai.

He holds a Master in Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Management Systems from Princeton University.
