SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The Lancer Group places Raj Kapoor as Principal of Permira, a leading global investment firm specializing in the consumer, financial services, healthcare, industrials, and technology sectors. Permira has 14 offices across North America, Europe and Asia.
In this new role, Raj brings to Permira over 20 years of broad general management and private equity experience in growth and turnaround environments across the technology, healthcare, business services, and retail space. He will be primarily responsible for focusing on investment opportunities in the Technology sector.
Most recently, Raj was a member of the executive team at SquareTrade, a leading consumer electronics warranty/insurance provider (acquired by Allstate) where he was responsible for revenue and profitability for the North America business.
Previously, Raj served as an executive in Bain Capital’s Portfolio Group, where he worked on value creation opportunities with companies in the tech, business services, consumer, and healthcare sectors. Earlier in his career, he worked in marketing and product management at Microsoft and strategy consulting at Accenture.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
