The Lancer Group places Scott Staples as CEO of First Advantage, a Symphony Technology-backed leading provider of background screening solutions

ATLANTA, GA – The Lancer Group places Scott Staples as Chief Executive Officer of First Advantage, a leading provider of comprehensive background screening, identity, and information solutions to employers and housing providers across several verticals including retail, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, staffing, business services, and manufacturing.

Scott brings to First Advantage over 28 years of experience in the services sector and has a proven track record of driving innovation and providing strong client focus on a global scale. He most recently served as President, Americas of Mindtree, a digital transformation and IT services company, that he co-founded in 1999 and grew from zero to $800M in revenue and 16,000 worldwide employees. He played a strategic role in taking Mindtree public in 2007- the Mindtree IPO became one of the most successful in the history of IT service.

Prior to co-founding Mindtree, Scott was a director at Cambridge Technology Partners, where he was responsible for key accounts and drove e-business, CRM, IT strategy and application management initiatives for Fortune 1000 companies. He also served as adirector of marketing for Gemini Consulting’s North American financial services practice.

Scott was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Technology Services in 2015.

He holds an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J.
