LOS ANGELES, CA – The Lancer Group places Tom Mahowald as Chief Executive Officer of Pioneer Medical Group (PMG), one of Southern California’s premier multispecialtyphysician-owned healthcare providers.
In this new role, Tom brings to PMG over 15 years of deep general management experience across complex multi-site healthcare organizations. He will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the firm and will be at the helm of driving growth and business operations.
Most recently, Tom served as Senior Vice President of Operations of Healthcare Partners Medical Group, operating subsidiary of DaVita (NYSE: DVA; LTM Rev: $14.7B), where he had overall responsibility for the South Bay and Long Beach regions generating $1B in revenue.
Previously, Tom held the role of President of PIH Health Physicians, regional nonprofit healthcare delivery network serving the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Gabriel Valley regions, where he provided leadership for the medical practice foundation.
