The Lancer Group Adds Two Partners and New Offices in San Francisco and Boston; Announces New Private Equity Investment Affiliate, L Capital

SAN DIEGO – The Lancer Group, a leading retained executive search firm that partners with private equity firms, their portfolio companies, and public corporations, announced that Simon Francis and Jeff Leopold have joined the firm as partners. Francis and Leopold are joined by their respective San Francisco and Boston-based team members. As part of the integration, The Lancer Group has also added a new private equity investment affiliate, L Capital.

With the addition of the new partners and offices, The Lancer Group has expanded its geographic footprint to include five offices (Boston, San Diego, San Francisco, New York and Sydney) and further deepen its private equity and industry capabilities. The Lancer Group continues to specialize in board-driven mandates including board directors, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CMOs, other C-suite executives as well as searches for private equity operating partners. The firm has completed executive search engagements for clients across a range of industries and has particular expertise in technology, industrial, energy, healthcare and consumer markets.

For the last seven years, Simon Francis served as co-founder and partner at Lancor. Previously he was a partner at two global executive search firms: CTPartners, where he led the private equity practice, and Heidrick & Struggles. Before joining The Lancer Group, Jeff Leopold held senior roles at various executive search firms including Lancor, CTPartners and Cook Associates.
